Know a person who is cruelty-free and have no idea what to buy them this Christmas without making it awkward that you got them something not CF? I think most people wouldn't mind a minor mistake but to get some extra brownie points I composed this post purely for people who aren't aware or have much knowledge on what brands and items you can get people who are CF.

1. Do Your Research
If you've found a brand that you are interested in purchasing for a friend, look at their FAQ for their Animal Testing Policy or even email them with a list of questions. I send out emails and post their responses with my 'Investigation On' series so check out a few posts I've done so far here. Also look at other blogs with investigations on company policies.

2. Be wary of what is CF and Vegan
People who are CF sometimes only care about if something is tested on animals, and others are full-on, don't use any products that contain animal products such as beeswax and lanolin. When shopping and looking at ingredients, keep the person in mind and what type of person are they. Obviously if they're vegan, they can't have any animal products.
